Using Claude with your vault

.vault works with Claude through MCP, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools. Once it’s connected, you can ask Claude about your business in plain words and have it draft routine changes for you to approve.

Things to ask

• “What sold this week, and what did I make on it?”
• “What do I need to ship today, and where are the cards?”
• “Find every Charizard I have in hand.”
• “Which listings need restocking?”
• “What’s on today’s buy list?”

Claude reads the same records the console shows you: your summary, sales and profit, inventory, orders to ship, the listing desk, restocks, the buy list, and the card catalog.

Drafts, not changes

Claude can’t change your ledger on its own. When you ask it to do something, like log a purchase, raise some prices, mark an order shipped or move cards to a new box, it writes a draft. The draft lands in your console’s Inbox, marked as drafted by your assistant, and nothing happens until someone reviews it and saves it.

Drafts follow the same rules as your own changes, and some stricter ones:

• Claude can only raise prices, never lower them, and never below a card’s break-even floor.
• Claude can move an order’s shipping status forward, never back.
• Claude can’t make the owner-only overrides.

Privacy

Claude only sees your own vault. Buyers’ personal details and your private notes are left out before anything reaches it.

Teach Claude your shop

There’s a companion skill for your Claude chat. It teaches Claude how a vault works: how to find a card, log a purchase, work out what a pulled card cost, verify a delivery, raise a price and mark an order Packed.
