Your data
Where your vault is kept, who can see it, and how it's backed up.
Where it lives
Each vault has its own database on Cloudflare. Your ledger isn’t mixed in with anyone else’s, and the console only ever reads and writes the vault you’re signed in to. Card photos are kept in a separate photo store and served from photos.dotvault.net, which is how your shop page shows them.
Who can see it
Only the people in your vault, after signing in. There’s no public sign-up, and a GitHub or Google account that hasn’t been invited is turned away. Your shop page is public, but it only shows what a buyer would see on eBay anyway: listings, photos, condition and price. Costs, profit and your notes stay in the console.
Buyer details
Buyers’ names, usernames and addresses stay on eBay. They don’t appear in reports, on your shop page, or in anything Claude can read.
Backups
Your ledger is backed up every day, and each backup is restored into a scratch copy and checked before it’s kept, so a backup that wouldn’t restore is caught straight away. Daily backups are kept for about a month and a monthly copy for about a year. On top of that, the database itself can be rolled back to any point in the last 30 days.
Backups are private. They aren’t stored with your photos and they have no public address.
The record of changes
Every change saved to your ledger is logged with who made it and when. That log is part of your ledger, so it’s backed up with everything else.
