What .vault is

A quick look at the three parts of .vault and how they fit together.

.vault is a home for a trading card business. It keeps a careful record of every card you own, what you paid for it, where it sits in your binders and boxes, and what happened when it sold. You run the business from the console, and your shop shows buyers what you have.

There are three parts.

The console at console.dotvault.net is where you and the people you invite do the work: check what sold, see what needs shipping, look up a card, and decide what to list next. See A tour of the console.

Your shop at dotvault.net/shop/@username is a public page for buyers. It shows your live listings with photos and sends people to eBay to buy. See Your shop page.

Claude, through MCP, can read your vault and answer questions about it, and it can draft changes for you to approve. See Using Claude with your vault.

Your vault is yours

Each seller on .vault has their own vault, kept in its own database. Nobody outside your vault can see it, and nobody can join it unless an owner invites them. There is no public sign-up.

The ledger

When these pages say “the ledger”, they mean your vault’s record: the cards, purchases, sales, shipments and every change made to them. The console reads from it, your shop is built from it, and each change made through the console is logged with who made it and when.

Where to start

  1. Sign in with the GitHub or Google account your invite was linked to.
  2. Take the tour of the console.
  3. If you own the vault, invite the people who help you.
