Channels and eBay
eBay is a channel you can connect to your vault. The console works without it.
A channel is somewhere you sell. eBay is the first one .vault supports, and others, such as TCGplayer, will follow.
The console works without a channel
You don’t need to connect anything to use .vault. Your inventory, purchases and sales history all live in your ledger, so the console, your reports and your shop page work whether or not a channel is connected. Sales you made on eBay before connecting stay in your ledger as part of your history.
Connecting eBay
Connecting a channel will happen in the console, under Settings, then Integrations. The connection will belong to your vault and be kept with your account, so nobody will need to set anything up outside the console. That page is still being built, so for now no channel is connected, and the console runs on your ledger: inventory, purchases and sales history.
What .vault does with eBay
eBay is where your buyers pay. .vault reads your orders, sales and listings from eBay so your records stay current, and it works out what needs doing next: what to list, what to restock and which prices have drifted.
Your listing desk
The listing desk turns what .vault knows into a short checklist:
- New listings. Copies that are ready to go, with the title, condition and price worked out. Create the listing in Seller Hub.
- Restocks. When a listed copy sells and you have another, the desk says which listing to restock and which copy to use.
- Price checks. Listings whose price has moved away from the market, with a suggested price. You decide, and make the change in Seller Hub.
Prices
The price buyers pay is always the one on eBay. Your shop page shows each listing’s price with “on eBay” beside it, and the page says that prices and availability are on eBay.
Buyer details
Your buyers’ personal details stay with eBay. They aren’t kept in .vault, shown on your shop page or shared with Claude.
